RONALD GENE SEYMOUR.  Ron entered into the presence of the Lord on Aug. 14, 2012, peacefully in his home, after a 2-year battle with cancer. Born Dec. 23, 1929, in San Bernardino, Calif., Ron enjoyed a full life of public relations and broadcasting work in Arizona and Southern California.

Ron lived the past 30 years of his life in Big Bear Lake, Calif., where he sewed his heart and soul into the residents and business community of the Valley. He birthed many businesses himself in town including the Big Bear Super Shopper, North Pole Fudge, the Cowboy Steak House, Sandy's Sports Bar and Big Bear News. He is best known for his written columns and television broadcasts of "Round Town with Ron," where he gave continuous media releases and updates on community businesses, events and news.

Ron is survived by his 3 children, Gregg, Gary and Lori, along with daughter-in-law Vickie, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is remembered by his family as the most positive, joy-filled person they have ever known.

All are invited to join in a "Celebration of his Life" memorial service for Ron held on the evening of Thursday Aug. 30, 2012, beginning 6 p.m. at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center, 42900 Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear Lake, CA.
