Mr. Jack Shields

age 75, a well known personality of the Sugar-loaf/Big Bear area for the past 41 years, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. True to his form, he spent his last few weeks visiting with family and friends, fondly remembering the happy days gone by.

Mr. Shields was born on April 17, 1937; he proudly served in the United States Navy and for many years operated a successful roofing contractor and handyman business (otherwise known as “Handy Jack”).

Mr. Shields is survived by his three children (Donald, Merri and Lisa), five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and four sisters. Private services were held in his beloved town of Sugarloaf on Sat. Oct. 29, 2011.
