David Ronald Tamplin, III
48, born in an Army hospital in Huntsville, Ala., on Nov. 20, 1962. He passed at his home in
Lucerne Valley on Jan. 18, 2011. He spent his early years in Eagle Rock, La Crescenta, and
Grand Rapids, Minn. He also lived in Little Rock, Independence and Big Bear Lake.
He worked as a truck driver for many years, and also as a concrete worker and handyman.
David had a heart of gold. He was fun loving and loved to laugh, a practical joker, a tease, a
prankster, he loved to play. He especially loved outdoor sports and motorcycles. David was
cheerful - a morning person, kind-hearted and compassionate. He was hard working, capable,
helpful, loyal, honest and trustworthy. He will be missed by those he leaves behind, who include:
parents Dave and Judi Tamplin; grandma Catherine White; sisters Denise (Tim) McKeon and
Doreen (Mitch) Bangert; brother Will Tamplin; nieces Kelly and Katie McKeon; nephews T.J.
McKeon, Sam Bangert, and Mitch Bangert, Jr. Also many cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends.
We will miss you, David, but we are glad to know you are pain free and at peace. God is good,
all the time.
