Stanislaus County, CA, Obituaries Modesto Bee, 03/05/2011, p B-3 Domingues Mikael Trinta Mar 11, 1927 Mar 2, 2011 Dom passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, March 2, nine days short of his 84th birthday. He was born to Francisco Silveira and Maria Correia Trinta on the family dairy in Patterson. His early years were filled with school and chores as were those of farm children of his time. Dom was an exceptional high school athlete, especially proud of the undefeated Tiger Championship football team of 1945 where he served as team captain. After high school Doss served his country in the Army during the Korean War stationed in Japan. Upon his honorable discharge he began a 50 year career in row crop farming. He was a passionate farmer and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with family and friends. Dom married Ida Rovedatti in 1953 and together they had two sons. Mark (Kim) lives in Modesto, CA and John (Diane) in Chicago, II. He enjoyed watching his sons compete in athletics from grammar school throughout their careers, rarely missing a game. Dom enjoyed horses, rodeo, western shows and ball room dancing. He was a perfectionist and would settle for nothing less. Ida passed away in January of 1991 and after a few years Dom met his second wife Sandra. They were married August 1996. They enjoyed traveling, especially to Minden, Nevada to annual round ups, spending time with friends, attending livestock shows and playing gin rummy. Dom is survived by his loving wife Sandra and sons Mark and John and their wives as well as grandchildren, Dana, Maddie, Griffin, Kate and Ben. He is also survived by brother Tony Trinta of Patterson, sisters Mary Oliveira and Elsie Meinert of Modesto and Rose Silveira of Pacific Grove and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ida, parents Francisco and Maria Trinta and brothers Frank and Manuel Trinta. Visitation Sunday, 3/6 from 5 7 pin at Sales Brother Chapel, Modesto. Service Monday, 3/7, 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Patterson. Interment at Patterson District Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association or the Father Connors Endowment Trust Fund, P.O. Box 1174, Patterson, CA 95363.
