Patterson Irrigator, 02/17/2011, p 13 Linda Marie Allustiarte Dec. 21, 1921—Feb. 12, 2011 A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 18, for Linda Figueiredo Allustiarte, 89, who died Saturday, Feb. 12, in Modesto. Mrs. Allustiarte was born in New Bedford, Mass. She moved with her family to Patterson and graduated from Patterson High School in 1939. She was married to Ben Allustiarte for 64 years and was a homemaker, renowned for her menus and holiday meals; she also worked 23 years for the Modesto City School District. Mrs. Allustiarte was a member of the California School Employees Association and the senior group at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Modesto. She loved to sing and was known for her big band favorites. Mrs. Allustiarte is survived by her husband, Ben Allustiarte; son, Greg Allustiarte and wife, Gayle, of Vacaville, Marianne Pack of Patterson; brother, Anthony Figueiredo of Modesto; and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by one son, Benjamin Allustiarte. Friday’s Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 505 W. Granger Ave., in Modesto. Burial will follow in Patterson Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33. Visitation will be observed from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Salas Bros. Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, in Modesto.
