Juliani Cardenas

A memorial service will be Friday, Feb. 11, for Juliani Cardenas, 4, who died Jan. 18.
Juliani attended the local Head Start program. He participated was crowned the Modesto Summer 
King of 2008 through the Hawaiian Tropics pageant and was one of the top 15 competitors in the 
Hawaiian Tropics Tiny Beach Boys State Competition. Juliani was baptized in May 2007 by the Rev. 
Bernie Quinn at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson.
Juliani is survived by his mother, Tabitha Cardenas; grandmother, Amparo Cardenas; and unborn 
baby sister.
Friday’s memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. at Patterson Community Stadium, Ward and Salado 
avenues.
A private funeral service and burial, conducted by Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson, will follow 
at a later date.
