John Francis Dias

A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, June 16 for John Francis Dias, 87 of Patterson who died 
Saturday June 11 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Mr. Dias was a native and lifetime resident of Patterson. He was a contractor for 50 years and a 
parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 
and St Anthony.
Mr. Dias is survived by his sons, Johnny Dias of Patterson, Harold Dias of Patterson, Franklin Dias of 
Patterson, Manuel Dias of Modesto; daughter, Rosemary Al Hussain of Saudi Arabia; brother, Joe Dias 
of Patterson; sister, Carrie Mendes of Patterson; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dias, who died in 2003.
Thursday's mass will be at 10 a.m., Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Burial will 
follow at Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33.
A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 15 followed by a recital of a rosary at Hillview 
Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson.
