Sharon Marie Dias 
March 13,1952 — July 12, 2011
A funeral Mass was celebrated this week for former Patterson resident Sharon Dias.
Mrs. Dias, 59, was born in Campbell and died in Modesto, where she resided. She formerly 
lived in Patterson for 15 years.
Mrs. Dias’ family describes her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also an 
animal lover and was especially devoted her dogs Zack and Lucy.
Mrs. Dias is survived by her husband of more than 20 years, Manuel Dias of Modesto; 
daughters, Tonya Giovacchini of Stockton and Heidi Ortner of Modesto; and a granddaughter.
The Mass was celebrated Tuesday, July 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Burial 
followed in Patterson District Cemetery. Hillview Funeral Chapel of Patterson, 450 W. Las Palmas 
Ave., handled arrangements.
