Patterson Irrigator, 09/01//2011, p 13 Annalee J. Dompe May 21, 1926 —Aug. 28, 2011 A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 2, for Annalee J. Dompe, who died Sunday, Aug. 28, at her home in Crows Landing. Mrs. Dompe, 85, was born on the family ranch and was the seventh child of Anton and Mary Ghisletta. She attended Patterson schools and married local farmer Frank M. Dompe in 1944. The couple was very active on the Stanislaus County Fair board. They enjoyed many years of local, state and national politics, raising funds and canvassing the precincts for Republican Party causes. Mrs. Dompe volunteered as a sewing teacher in Crows Landing for Bonita School children and the local 4 H club. She was a member of the Patterson Garden Club and Republican Central Committee and a member and supporter of the Memorial Hospital Foundation, McHenry Museum and Patterson Historical Society. Mrs. Dompe is survived by her two sons, Peter Dompe and Frank Dompe Jr., and his wife, Laura; brothers, Miles Ghisletta and Ron Ghisletta; sister, Laurene Alves; six grandchildren; a great grandson; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Dompe; parents, Anton and Mary Ghisletta; brothers, Franklin, Stanley, Leo and Anthony Ghisletta; and sisters, Carleen Mahaffey and Margaret Farrell. Friday’s Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., in Patterson. Burial will follow in Hills Ferry Cemetery, 1334 W. Stuhr Road, in Newman. Visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W., Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson.
