Harriet Lillian Kuhn Gunter 
March 24, 1937 — April 14, 2011
Services will be today, April 21, for former Patterson resident Harriet Lillian Kuhn Gunter, 74, of Fremont, 
who died at her home April 14.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Kuhn Gunter lived in Fremont for 10 years. She previously lived in Patterson 
and the Bay Area. She and her husband, Don, owned Storefront Doors in Fremont for 15 years. She also 
was a chef at Guckenheimer in Oakland for several years.
She is survived by her seven children, Ruthanne Lara, and her husband, Michael, Mark Kuhn, and his wife, 
Kim, Matthew Kuhn, and his wife, Kathy, and Eric Kuhn, all of Patterson, Kim Baxter, and her husband, Carl, 
of North Carolina, Lisa Gordon, and her husband, Bill, of Turlock and Laura Filice, and her husband, Art, of 
Modesto; sisters, Barbara Stevens of Patterson, Diana Dean of San Diego and Carole Thompson, Anne Haser 
and Corley Owen, all of Ohio; brother, John Dean of Ohio; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; an 
aunt; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Edward Kuhn and Donald Gunter; and sister, Connie Daugherty.
Today’s services will begin at 10 a.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., followed by burial in 
Patterson District Cemetery.
