Patterson Irrigator, 08/11/2011, p 12 Elvita Claudette Trinta Jan.18, 1921 — Aug. 4, 2011 A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, Aug. 8, for Elvita Claudette Trinta, 90, of Patterson, who died Thursday, Aug. 4, at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Mrs. Trinta was a native of Mello Land, near Imperial Valley, and lived in Patterson for 70 years. She was a homemaker for 70 years and worked as a school bus driver for many years. A parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson, Mrs. Trinta was also a member of FDES and the St. Anthony Celebration. She was a member of the Mu Delta Epsilon Zeta Chapter sorority and a captain of the SPRSI drill team. Mrs. Trinta is survived by her daughters, Joan Zedlar, and her husband, Ray, of San Jose and Mary Thon, and her husband, Max, of Patterson; brother, Tony Durao of Crows Landing; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Trinta; son, Michael Trinta; sisters, Isabel Teixeira and Beatrice Luis; and a step great grandchild. Monday’s Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart church, followed by burial in Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33. Hillview Funeral Chapel of Patterson, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., handled arrangements. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Trinta’s name may be sent to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356; to the Father Connors Endowment Trust Fund, P.O. Box 1174, Patterson, CA 95363; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
