Balcom Glen P 830908 np Glen Balcom Service Is Slated Today; A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, for longtime Patterson resident Glen Paris Balcom. He died Tuesday at his home here after a long illness. He was 84. The Rev. Richard Kelly will officiate the service at the Covenant Church. A native of Ragan, Nebraska, he had lived in Patterson since 1941, coming from Kansas. He was an engineer with Foremost Dairy Co. for 44 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Covenant Church. Survivors include his wife, Bessie Balcom of Patterson; two sons, Glen 0. Balcom, Jr. of Hermiston, Oregon and George H. Balcom of Cottonwood, Arizona; four daughters, Lois English of Patterson, Evelyn Corbin of San Jose, Mary Smith of Winters, and Nancy Clary of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Lela Davia of Persia, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. The family requests that remembrances be sent to the American Cancer Society or the local Covenant Church.
