Ballandran Arturo 590806 p1 Two Die When Freight Hits Car; Two Mexican citizens visiting relatives near Crows Landing were killed Monday night when their station wagon got in the way of a Southern Pacific freight train about two and a half miles north of Crows Landing. The victims were Jesus Rodriquez, 19, the driver, and Arturo Ballandran, 22. The car was near the Crinklaw ranch where Hernandez brother-in-1aw and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Hernandez, live. The car was dragged about 300 feet. The two failed to see the train or hear the whistle. The bodies are at Davis-Hansen Chapel in Newman.
