Banda Gonzalo 830801 np Final Rites Set for Gonzalo Banda, 70; Final rites are slated for Gonzalo Banda, 70, who died Saturday at Doctors Hospital in Modesto after a long illness. He was 70. A native of Texas, he moved to the Patterson area from that state in 1956 and was employed by farm labor contractor Juan Salinas. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited tonight, Monday, at 7 p.m. at the Evans Funeral Chapel. A Mass will be said Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, with burial to follow in Patterson District Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Antonia Banda of Patterson; one daughter, Mary Molina of Patterson; one son, Raul Banda of Grayson; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Simona Banda of Texas and Mosa Mounoz of Merced; and two brothers, Angel Banda and Cayetano Banda Jr., both of Texas.
