Service Held for Gussie Mae Bartlett; A funeral service was held here Wednesday morning for longtime Patterson
resident Gussie Mae Bartlett who died Sunday at the San Luis Convalescent Hospital in Newman. She was 72. She
moved to Patterson in 1952 from her native state of Arkansas and worked at Patterson Frozen Foods. She was affiliated
with the Baptist Church here. A funeral service was held at Evans Funeral Chapel with Eugene Greenfield of Fremont
officiating. Burial was in Patterson District Cemetery.  Survivors include her husband, Roy Bartlett of Patterson; three
sons, Haskell Bartlett of Patterson, Don Bartlett of Montana, and Ronnie Bartlett of Nevada; two daughters, Shirley
Ericsen of Lake Forest, Calif. and Dixie Souza of Gustine; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; seven sisters,
Mildred Newman of Planada, Robbie Stevenson of Modesto, Docha Sperry of Fresno, Pauline Mayfield of Arkansas,
Jean Reynolds of Modesto, Helen Faulkner of Madera, and Melva Hanson of Wyoming; and one brother, Davis Hatchett
of Patterson.
