Patterson Irrigator, 01/30/2008, p 7 Jose "Alex" Alejandro Bautista 04/19/1982 � 01/24/2008 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday for Jose �Alex� Alejandro Bautista of Turlock, who died Jan. 24 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. Mr. Bautista, 25, was born in Patterson and lived in Newman for 22 years. He lived in Turlock for the past three years. He was a maintenance mechanic for six years and most recently worked at Ingomar Packing Co. in Volta and Los Banos. Mr. Bautista graduated in 2000 from Orestimba High School in Newman. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock. Mr. Bautista was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Dodgers, and he enjoyed fishing. Mr. Bautista is survived by his wife, Mercedes Bautista of Turlock; son, Aaron Bautista, and daughter, Alexxia Bautista, both of Turlock; father, Alex Bautista, and stepmother, Dianne Bautista, of Modesto; mother, Josefa Martinez, stepfather, Albino Martinez, and brother, Danny Bautista, all of Newman; sisters, Monica Bautista and Adelina Bautista, both of Modesto; and grandmother, Albertina Bautista of Newman. Mr. Bautista is also survived by several stepsisters and stepbrothers. Thursday�s Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Joachim�s Catholic Church, 1121 Main St., in Newman. Burial will follow in Hills Ferry Cemetery, 1334 W. Stuhr Road, in Newman. Visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 1258 R St., in Newman, followed by a recitation of a rosary at 7 p.m. Another visitation will be observed from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the chapel.
