Patterson Irrigator, 05/21/2002, p. 3 San Juana Bazan, 49 Services were held here early this week for a former Patterson woman who died May 14 at San Joaquin County General Hospital in French Camp. San Juana Bazan of Modesto died of injuries received in an automobile accident. She was 49. She was a native of McAllen, Tex., and had lived in Modesto the past 15 years. She previously was a Patterson resident for 20 years. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Modesto and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. A vigil service was held Sunday evening at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson, with a Mass on Monday morning at Sacred Heart Church. Burial was in Patterson District Cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Lionel and Victor of Modesto and Israel Bazan of Sonora; two daughters, Maria Elena Gonzales and Jessica Mendoza, both of Modesto: 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Moses and Joe Montalbo of Modesto, Tony Montalbo of Riverbank, and Ralph Montalbo of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five sisters, Domina Alvarez of Modesto, Josephine Solis of Patterson, Angelita Hernandez of Texas, Isabel Rodriguez of Stockton, and Mary Montalbo of Riverbank.
