Mitch E. Becerra, 51;  Patterson resident Mitch E. Becerra died last Thursday at his residence.  He was 51.  The King City
native had lived in Patterson the past three and a half years, moving here from Prunedale where he lived for nine years.
He was a retired police sergeant who was on the department in Campbell for 28 years.  He owned Prestige Investigation
of Patterson since 2000 and was a private investigator. He belonged to the California Peace Officers Association and the
California Background Investigation Association.  He was a member of the Family Christian Center in Patterson.  His
hobbies included fishing, hunting and golfing, and he was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. He enjoyed
being in law enforcement and spending time with his family.  A service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Patterson
Masonic Hall. Burial will follow in Patterson District Cemetery.  Visitation at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson will
be today (Tuesday) from 5-8 p.m.  Survivors include his wife, Tinamarie Becerra of Patterson; four sons and two
daughters, Mitchel, Anthony, Travis, Lucas, Adrianna and McKayla Becerra, all of Patterson; three brothers; Sid of
Washington state, Richard of San Jose, and Joseph Becerra of Wisconsin; and five sisters, Carmen Gutierrez and. Mary
Aguilar, both of San Jose, Lupe Andrade and Cruz Norato, both of Southern California, and Lucy Escalante of
Washington state.  Remembrances may be made to the Becerra Education Trust, c/o Campbell Police Officers
Association, 70 N. First St., Campbell, Calif 95008.
