Beite Hilda E 590326 p8 Final Rites for Mrs Knute Beite; Hilda Eva Beite was born of parents, Peter and Margaret nee Johnson Olander at Hallock, Minnesota on October 13, 1886. She attained the age of 72 years, 5 months and 7 days. Her death came quite suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday morning at nine o clock, at the Del Puerto Hospital in Patterson, Mrs. Beite had been failing in health for about two years. When Hilda was but three years old the family moved to Vasa, Minnesota where she lived until she reached adulthood. She attended the grade school and two years at the Red Wing Seminary in Red Wing, Minnesota. For six years she and her sister, Clara operated a rooming and boarding house in Duluth, Minnesota in the year 1914, she and her sister Clara moved to Opheim, Montana. Hilda Olander was united in marriage to Knute Beite on April 12, 1926 at Bemidji, Minnesota. No children were born to this union. They resided on a farm near Opheim, Montana until 1948 when they came to Patterson, California. Here they purchased a ranch on Orange Avenue where they have since resided. Mrs. Beite s father died in 1926 and her mother died in 1891. She has the following brothers and sisters living: Martin and Theodore Olander of Flaxville, Montana, and Clara, Mrs. Clark Shelden of Opheim, Montana. Johnny, age 10, and Clarence, age 50, have preceded her in death. The following are the half sisters: Myrtle, Mrs. Ernest Stahl, Redwing, Minnesota; Margaret, Mrs Art Richter, Bell Creek, Minnesota; Nell, Mrs. Marvin Sallstrom, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Pauline, Mrs. Eugene Gavis of Guam. The following passed away at the ages given, Johnny 7, Daniel 48 and Ethel 52. Mrs Beite was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a life long member of the Lutheran church. She was also a member of the W.M.F. of Our Saviour s Lutheran Church here in Patterson. She held membership in the Royal Neighbor Lodge. Clara Shelden, a sister, has been here since September assisting at the Beite home. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at two o clock from Our Saviour s Lutheran Church. Interment was made in the Del Puerto Cemetery. Pastor Walter Holtan, in charge. Pastor E. B. Kluver brought a greeting in church, and special music. Pall bearers were Fred Hanson, Julius Hatlen, Elling Vike, A E. Johnson, George Knutson and Alfred Stehli.
