Manuel Jose Benitez   Aug. 1, 1985 � Aug. 27, 2006
A memorial service will be Saturday for Manuel Jose Benitez of Newman, who died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center
in Modesto.  Mr. Benitez, 21, was born in Modesto and raised in Patterson and had lived in Newman five years. He
graduated from John B. Allard Community School in Turlock and attended Modesto Junior College. He also attended
Insurance School of the Central Valley in Modesto.  He enjoyed rebuilding and racing sports cars. He was a Jehovah's
Witness.  Mr. Benitez is survived by his parents, Rosy and Manuel Benitez of Newman; sister, Judith Benitez of
Newman; and grandparents, Rosario and Rogelio Benitez and Maria Vizcaino, all of Patterson.  Saturday's memorial
service will begin at 6 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 270 Weber Ave., in Patterson. Visitation will be
observed from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, in Turlock.
