Man Takes Life in Local Canyon; A young Stevinson man died Thursday in Del Puerto Canyon of a self-inflicted
gunshot wound, according to the county coroner s office. Rodney Bennett Jr., 19, was found about three miles into the
canyon. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Bennett. and a son, Dustin, both of Stevinson.  Final rites were held in
Turlock.
