Frank Bento Dies at 81; The rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Evans-Krieger funeral chapel in
Newman for Frank Bento, 81, who passed away Saturday night at Emanuel Hospital in Turlock. A Mass of Christian
burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joachim s Catholic Church in Newman. Interment will follow at
Hills Ferry Cemetery. A native of Terceira in the Azores, he lived on the west side for the past 50 years, and in Newman
for the past 14 years. He worked 14 years for the East-West Creamery before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Eva;
and his sister, Deolinda Silva, of Selma.  He was a member of Gustine s Our Lady of Miracles and Portugal de Hoje.
