Rites Held for Ruth Bergquist; A funeral service was held Monday morning at Hillview Chapel in Patterson for Ruth
Carolyn Bergquist. She died last Thursday in a Modesto convalescent hospital following a long illness.  She was 86.
A native of Beaver Creek, Minn., she had resided in Patterson since 1978 when she moved here from San Jose. Rev.
Richard Kelly officiated the service.  She was buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno where her husband
is interred. Survivors include four sons, Earl Aronson of South Carolina, Iver Bergquist of Texas, John Bergquist of
Seattle, Wash.; and Robert Bergquist of San Jose; two daughters, Madalyn Sheldon of New Jersey and Margarey
Azevedo of Patterson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family requests that remembrances be sent
to the diabetes or cancer societies, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
