Joe Bettencourt Services Are Slated Monday; Newmen -  Joe Bettencourt, 62, a longtime cook at Marty s Inn in
Newman, died Friday afternoon at West Side Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Gustine, he had
worked at Marty s Inn for 14 years.  Prior to that be was butcher owner of Gustine Meat Co. Mass of Christian burial will
be said this morning, Monday, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim s Catholic Church. Rosary was recited Sunday evening at Evans-
Krieger Funeral Chapel in Newman. He is survived by his wife Helen; a daughter, Audrey Musson, and stepdaughter Kay
Corralejo, all of. Newman; two stepsons in Texas;  five grandchildren; and a sister, Isabel West of Sacramento.
Interment will be in Hills Ferry Cemetery, Newman.
