Bettencourt Rites Are Thursday;  Recitation of the rosary is scheduled Wednesday for Fannie Bettencourt, who died
Monday in Patterson at age 85.  Mrs. Bettencourt was a native of the Azores and had resided in  Patterson the past 10
years.  She lived in Crows Landing for 60 years prior to that.  She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart
Church, SPRSI of Crows Landing No. 140, UPPEC of Crows Landing No. 53, Lady of Miracles Society of Gustine, and
Lady of Fatima of Los Banos.  Mrs. Bettencourt is survived by a son, Stephen Bettencourt of Hilmar; a daughter, Helen
Vescere of Patterson; 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.  Visitation is planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday at
Sacred Heart Church with the rosary at 7 p.m. also at Sacred Heart.  A mass of Christian burial, conducted by the Rev.
Jim Galvin. will be held at 10 am. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church.  Final place of rest will be Hills-Ferry Cemetery.
