Final Rites Set for Buddy Borba; Final rites have been scheduled in Patterson for John Anthony "Buddy" Borba, 59, who
died Saturday in Newman. A native of Modesto, he had lived most of his life on the West Side. A rosary will be held
tonight, Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Hillview Funeral Chapel.  A Mass is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church.  Burial in Hills Ferry Cemetery at Newman will follow. He was a self-employed butcher and carpenter,
and was a United States Army veteran who served during World War II. Survivors include his mother, Mary Borba of
Patterson; a sister, Rosemary Russell of Patterson; and a nephew, Doyle Wallace of Patterson.
