Estel Wayne Bowden
Sept. 29, 1935 - July 3, 2009
Services will be today, July 9, for Estel Wayne Bowden of Patterson, who died 
Friday, July 3, at his home.
Mr. Bowden, 73, was a native of Minco, Okla., and lived in Patterson for 55 
years. He worked for Westley Warehouse as a warehouseman for 46 years. He was a 
member of the family Christian Center in Patterson. He was also a handyman who 
could fix anything for his gils and other people, his family said. He loved 
fishing and camping.
Mr. Bowden is survived by his wife, Shirley Bowden of Patterson; daughters, 
Carolyn Triggs, and her husband Duane, of Turlock, Cheryl Bennett, and her 
husband Robert, of Merced and Andrea Perez of Anaheim; brothers, Harley Bowden 
of Oregon and Harold Bowden of Bakersfield; stepbrothers, Allen Valouch of 
Manteca and John Valouch of Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and four 
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Murlin Bowden; and stepbrothers, Clyde 
Valouch and Junior Valouch.
Today's services will begin at 10 a.m. at Family Christian Center, 19 S Sixth 
St., in Patterson. Burial will follow in Turlock Memborial Park, 25 N. 
Soderquist Road, in Turlock.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Rowden's name may be sent to Family Christian 
center, 18 S Sixth St., Patterson 95363; or Optimal Hospice foundation, 122 W. 
Granger Ave., Modesto 95350.
Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson, is handling 
arrangements.
