Service Held for Frank Boze, 50:  Final rites were held early this week for former Patterson resident Frank R. Boze, who
died last Saturday in a Santa Cruz hospital.  He was 50. He was a native of San Francisco but was raised here and
graduated from Patterson High School in 1950. He had retired from the Santa Cruz Police Department after having served
15 years as an officer.  He was a past president and life member of the Santa Cruz County Peace Officers Association, a
member of the Municipal Motorcycle Officers of California, and a member of the San Augustin Catholic Church in
Scotts Valley. A rosary was recited Monday evening at Norman s Funeral Chapel in Soquel, and a Mass was said
Tuesday morning at San Augustin Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Marian of Scotts Valley; one son,
Mitchell Boze of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Lynn Hauschild ol Newman and Laurie Boze of Santa Cruz; his parents,
Manuel and Emily Silva of Patterson; four sisters, Jean Bickford of San Leandro, Christine MacPherson of Hayward; and
Evelyn Parsons and Carrie Jackson, both of Santa Cruz; one brother, Edward Boze of Santa Cruz; three grandchildren;
and his grandmother, Christina McGranahan of Santa Cruz. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to
the Santa Cruz County Kidney Foundation.
