Brewer Edith E 991012 p3 Edith E. Brewer, 94; Edith Eva Brewer died Thursday at her home after a short illness. She was 94. A native of Bradford, Ohio, she was born on Dec. 30, 1904. She and her late husband, Homer, came to Patterson in 1929 with their three eldest children. The remaining five of their eight children were born in Patterson. Homer and Edith were married for 62 years before his death in 1984. Edith was a homemaker and enjoyed making quilts for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a member of the Covenant Church. She is survived by her children Don Brewer and Helen Whitman, both of Patterson; Jack Brewer, Norma Wraske and Patsie Elizondo, all of Modesto; Verl Brewer of Avinal; Betty Horn of Roseberg, Ore. and Wanda Pinkerton of Ventura; her sister, Mary Landis of Greenville, Ohio; 27 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Services were held yesterday, Monday, at Patterson Covenant Church. Internment was at the Patterson District Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Hillview Funeral Chapel.
