James Briggs Sr. Services Friday; Services will be held Friday morning at 10am in the Evans Funeral chapel for James
Andrew Briggs Sr., 66, who suffered a seizure at his home Tuesday Afternoon and was pronounced dead at the local
hospital.  Interment will be in Patterson district cemetery. A native of Kansas, he had lived here 29 years and was a
retired heavy construction superintendent.  He was employed in this area on the Delta-mendota Canal project. He is
survived by his wife Gladys of Patterson; two sons, James Andrew Jr., of Patterson and Robert L. Briggs of Kansas; five
sister and seven grandchildren.
