Local Native John F. Broggi Dies at Age 64; Patterson native John Frank Broggi died at the Martinez Veterans Hospital
Monday after a long illness. He was 64. The World War II veteran worked 25 years as an oil distributor for Mobile and
was a retired fire fighter for the local fire department. Visitation from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday will be held prior to the
Rosary at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be said Thursday. 10 a.m. The Rev. Steve Viau will officiate.
Interment will be at the Patterson District Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Marie Broggi of Patterson, a son, Wesley
Williams of Modesto, two daughters, Eleanor Broggi (sic Stafford ) of Patterson and Catherine Wilkins of Kingsburg, a
brother, Robert Broggi of Patterson, two sisters, Laura Broggi of Patterson and Precioza Silva of Livermore, 13
grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family requests remembrances be sent to a favorite charity. Hillview
Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
