Bill James Brown, 60;  A funeral service will be held here Wednesday for Bill James Brown, 60, of Waterford.  The
former Patterson area  resident died last Friday at Memorial Hospital in Modesto.  He was born in Corning, Ark., but had
lived all of his life in Waterford and Grayson, where he grew up and graduated from Patterson High School in the class of
1956.  He was a salesman for Lawson Company and was affiliated with the Baptist Church in Waterford.  A service will
be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel, with burial in Patterson District Cemetery to follow.  Visitation
at the chapel will be today, Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Survivors include his
wife, Karen Brown of Waterford; two sons, Terry McMeechan of Modesto and John C. Brown of Newport, Wash.; six
grandchildren; three brothers, Gaines of Reno, Charles of Ceres, and Jack Brown of Patterson; and a sister, Norma Jean
Bohannon of Ripon.
