Brown, Robert Iliff 060909 p12 Robert Iliff Brown Jan. 1, 1919 � Sept. 4, 2006 A graveside service will be Tuesday for Robert Iliff Brown of Patterson, who died Monday at his home. Mr. Brown, 87, was a native of Chico. He lived in Patterson three years and had previously lived in Alameda County many years. Mr. Brown was a self-employed residential construction worker for 10 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, having served in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. Mr. Brown was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 819. He enjoyed woodwork, and he made the furniture for his home. He also built his own boat and enjoyed boating on the Delta. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Margaret K. Brown of Patterson; son, Ronald Wayne Brown of Pine Grove; daughters, Bobbie Williams of Minden, Nev., and Tammie Silva of Livermore; sister, Eleanor Brierley of San Jose; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Tuesday's graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, in Gustine. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson, is handling arrangements.
