In return, he agreed to attend his half-day classes an extra year. Always on the ranch: For 13 years, either he or his mother was present on the ranch in rural San Jose. While working at that business, he also drove bread trucks for major bakeries. That continued until 1945. Mr. Buehner married Ardis Hurler in 1939, and hogs were added to the ranch operation. Subdivisions in the San Jopse area eventually forced the family to sell out. He purchased 131 acres of river bottom property here in 1847, farming in both locations until he moved his family here five years later. He did commercial grain harvesting and built upp his cattle and hog operation. built Lip his cattle and hog operation. 1959 he. founded Larry Buehner Trucking and was a major hauler for the Patterson Canning Co., Libby s and others. Moved rentals: In the late 1960s Mr. Buehner began buying, moving and renovating rental homes on a major scale.
