2 Local Teenagers Killed near Tracy; A single car accident Sunday morning southeast of Tracy took the lives of two
young people from this area. Jason Buell, 17, and 15-year-old Jenny McCall died of injuries received in the accident
which occurred about 8:20 am on Durham Ferry road. Buell a Patterson high School student until this year whose parents
Rick and Jean Buell live on San Antonio Road in Santa Clara County in the hill country west of Patterson, was the driver
of the 1983 Camero.  It left the roadway about a mile from the Kasson Road intersection, flew over a drainage ditch and
hit a culvert. Both Buell and McCall were thrown through the vehicle's windshield, neither was wearing a seat belt.
A second passenger, Rodney Hall of Patterson flagged down a passing motorist and summoned assistance from the
nearby New Jerusalem fire hall.  Buell was taken to Tracy community Hospital by ambulance and McCall to Saint
Joseph's Hospital in Stockton by medical helicopter.  Each died a short time later. Hall, also 17, was taken to the Tracy
hospital where he was treated for a broken arm and pelvis.  He was listed in good condition Sunday evening.  Hall is a
junior at Patterson High School. Jenny Renee McCall was a sophomore at PHS.  A native of Eureka, she had lived here
for 11 years after moving from Modesto. Survivors include her mother, Cynthia Cranston of Patterson her father, Wendal
McCall of Ceres; two brothers, Daniel McCall of Patterson and Gregory McCall of Ceres; and an uncle, Dennis McCall
of Patterson. A funeral service will be held here Wednesday at 2 pm at the Hillview funeral Chapel.  Burial in Patterson
District Cemetery will follow.  Visitation is scheduled today, Tuesday, from 4-8 pm at the chapel.  Final rites for Buell
are pending.

Service Set Monday for Jason Buell; Final rites will be held next Monday, Oct. 17. for Jason Eric Buell, 17.  He died last
Sunday of injuries received in a one-car auto accident southeast of Tracy.  Also killed was 15 year old Jenny McCall of
Patterson, for whom services were held here Wednesday.  Another Pattersonite, Rodney Hull, 17. was injured and
remains a patient in Tracy Memorial Community Hospital. Buell is the son of Rick and Jean Buell of the San Antonio
Valley in Santa Clara County west of Patterson.  He attended Patterson High School until this year and had been
employed as an apprentice tile setter.  He was a native of San Jose and had lived in the San Antonio area the past five
years. The service will be held Monday at 4:30 p.m. at St. Phillips Church, 5038 Hyland Ave.  In San Jose, The Rev. Jeny
Drino will officiate.  Burial will be in Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hayward.  Other survivors include a sister, Kris
Buell, and a brother, Jarod Buell, both of the San Antonio Valley.
