Jake Burmania Dies at Age 87; Longtime Patterson area resident Jake Burmania, 87, was buried here Saturday in
Patterson District Cemetery following a funeral service at Hillview Funeral Chapel.  He died last Thursday in a Modesto
hospital following a long illness. He was 87. He was a native of Kalamazoo, Mich., and had lived here since 1949 when
he moved from his native city. For over 30 years he was an operating engineer, and was a member of Operating
Engineers Local No. 3. Survivors include his wife, Ulee Burmania of Patterson; a son, Chico J. Burmania of Modesto; a
daughter, Beverly Wertz of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
