Funeral Held for Dick Dean; A funeral service was held Monday  at  the  Federated Church for longtime Patterson
resident Dick F. Dean. He died Friday In a Turlock hospital following a brief illness.  He was 87. A native of Texas, he
had lived here since 1924.  He was a retired stationary engineer for the Getty Oil Co., for which he worked 42 years. He
also was a part-time employee of Hillview Funeral Chapel and a member of the Federated Church. Pastors Gary
Grundman and Albert Foster officiated at the service.  Burial was in Patterson District Cemetery with Hillview Funeral
Chapel in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Blythe Dean of Patterson.  It is requested that
remembrances be sent to the Federated Church, P.O. Box 1418, Patterson
