Rites in Texas for Mother of Patterson Woman; The mother of a local woman has died suddenly in Texas. Herminia De
La Garza, 75 of La Mesa, Texas died suddenly Jan. 3.  She was a native of Faragosa, Mexico, and resided in Patterson
from 1966-82 when she moved to Texas. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in La Mesa, where a Mass
was said Jan. 6.  Burial was in La Mesa Cemetery. Survivors include five sons, Albert of Chandler, Ariz., Arthur, Homer
and Arnold, all of Midland, Texas, and Ed De La Garza of Sacramento; four daughters, Hilda Estrada and Norma Vera,
both of La Mesa, Gloria Vela of Patterson, and Linda Silveira of Newman; 30 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
