Former Laborer Here is Killed at Stockton   William DeLong, former Patterson farm laborer, was found dead at Stockton
Friday morning under mysterious circumstances, but was believed to be the victim of a hit-and-run accident.  A Negro
sleeping in a ball park grand stand on the Roberts Island road was awakened by talking and saw three men and a woman
leaving, and on investigating found DeLongs body with the neck broken.  The auto party were later arrested and held for
investigation.  DeLong was employed by George Thoming for several years and was well know here.  Carl Medlin went
to Stockton to aid in the case.
