He continued to serve both cities until his death. Patterson Mayor Pat Maisetti, who worked with Densmore for nine years in city hall, commented this week, "Harold was one of those rare individuals who was a true gentleman. That's very rare these days." She continued, "He's going to be missed ... he could write a resolution or commendation with real finesse." Born in Sharon, Wisconsin, he moved to Patterson with his family in 1933. After graduating from Patterson Union High School three years later, he worked briefly for the Bank of Newman as a cashier. He married Jane Elizabeth Logan in 1941, and entered the Army Air Corps in late 1942, serving as a gunnery instructor until being discharged in 1945. He then studied under the G.I. He served as a director of the Mosquito Abatement District, acted as the legal advisor to the Grayson Community Services District, and was an officer and charter member of' the Orestimba chapter of the American Field Service. The Densmore family hosted the first AFS student to study at Orestimba High, Fernando Baccaro of Uruguay. He was a long-time member of the Orestimba United Presbyterian Church and served in a number of capacities including elder, Sunday School teacher, and choir member. He was elected moderator at both the Presbytery and Synod levels and served on the Zephyr Point Commission which oversaw the uses of the Zephyr Point (South Lake Tahoe) conference grounds.
