Densmore Jane 990722 p10 Jane Densmore, 81; A memorial service will be held Friday in Newman for Jane Elizabeth Densmore, 81. She died last Friday at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital in Modesto. She had recently fallen and broken a hip. A native of San Jose, she grew up here, the daughter of William and Edith Logan. She graduated from Patterson High School, class of 1935, and Stanford University, then married the late Harold Densmore who set up a law practice in Newman. Her father and husband were longtime partners in the law firm of Logan and Densmore, Logan serving as Patterson's city attorney for 53 years before being succeeded by Densmore. Jane Densmore was a retired school teacher who taught in the Newman district for a number of years. She also was a member of the Orestimba United Presbyterian Church, American Field Service, and the Stanford Alumni Association. The service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Orestimba United Presbyterian Church. A private family inurnment service will be held at San Joaquin National Cemetery near Gustine. Survivors include a son, William Densmore of Riverside; two daughters, Ann Lawrence and Susan Gary, both of Newman, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Dunn of Rohnert Park.
