Densmore, Robert C 060920 p10 Robert C. Densmore March 14, 1926 � Sept. 8, 2006 No services are planned for Robert C. "Bob" Densmore, who died Friday in Reno, Nev. Mr. Densmore, 80, was a native of Wisconsin. He moved to Patterson in 1932 with his family. He graduated from Patterson Union High School in 1944 and then served two years in the U.S. Navy. He also graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. After college, he went into administration at Children's Hospital in San Francisco for 20 years. In 1977, Sisters of Mercy in Burlingame chose Mr. Densmore as director of central administration for all of their hospitals. He was selected as the first president and chief executive officer of the newly formed Catholic Healthcare West in 1986. After he retired from health care in 1989, Mr. Densmore moved to a small, quiet horse ranch in Coleville. Mr. Densmore is survived by his wife, Sue Densmore of Coleville; a daughter, Joan; two sons, Robert Densmore and Kenny Densmore; a sister, Jerry Armabel of Pasco, Wash.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Densmore, a former Patterson city attorney. At the request of Mr. Densmore and his family, there will be no funeral service. His ashes will be buried in Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33, in Patterson.
