M. G. de Terra Dies at Home; A requiem mass was held Wednesday in St. Joachim s Catholic Church, Newman, for
Manuel M. Gomes de Terra, 35, who was found dead in his two room cabin in Crows Landing Friday night.  Burial was
in Hills Ferry Cemetery. According to Stanislaus County Sheriff s officers, he apparently died of internal bleeding. An
autopsy was made to determine cause of death, said Morris Feldman, Stanislaus County coroner. The Crows Landing
man was a native of the Azores, and lived in Crows Landing for nine years. He is survived by his mother, Maria Gomes
de Terra of Crows Landing, and a sister, Mrs. Celeste Cunha, also of Crows Landing.
