Dias Frank Sr 580710 p1 Final Rites Frank Dias Sr.; Rosary will be recited Friday night at 8 at Evans Chapel for Frank Dias Sr., 84, a long time Patterson resident, who passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon at his Sycamore Avenue home following a short illness. Mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Mary s Cemetery. Dias was a native of Tereceda, the Azore Islands. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Frank Dias Sr.; three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Amador and Frank Dias Jr., of Modesto, Sarah Wilson, Caroline Mendes, John Dias and Joe Dias of Patterson; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Dias Frank Sr 580717 p1 Duplicate Service For Mr. and Mrs.Dias; Duplicate services were conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. for Frank Dias, Sr., 64, and Carolina Dias, 67, who passed away within two days of her husband. Mr. Dias succumbed suddenly Wednesday afternoon in his Sycamore Avenue home following a short illness. His wife, Carolina, died of a similar attack Friday morning in their home. Rosary was recited Friday at 8 p.m. in the Evans chapel with. the funeral mass being said in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment was in St Mary s Cemetery. Mrs. Dias had been bothered by a heart condition for some time and it seems the shock of her husband s death brought on the fatal attack. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dias were natives of Terceda, Azore Islands. Survivors include three sons and three daughters: Mrs. Mary Amador and Frank Dias, Jr., of Modesto; Sarah Wilson, Caroline Mendes, John Dias and Joe Dias of Patterson; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
