Diaz Salvador D 040103 p4 Salvador Del Rio Diaz July 16,1933 -- Dec. 27, 2003 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday for Patterson resident Salvador Del Rio Diaz, 70, who died of cancer on Dec. 27 at his home. Mr. Diaz was a native of La Esperanza, Micboacan, Mexico, and lived in Patterson 36 years. He was a refrigeration mechanic at Patterson Frozen Foods for 20 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Teamsters Union Local 748. He was a past chairman of the Stanislaus County Day Care Advisory Board. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Eufemia Diaz of Patterson; children, Salvador A. Diaz and Jesus A. Diaz, both of Patterson, Maria G. Diaz of Fresno, and Diana L. Cazares and Rose Ann Persak, both of Modesto; brothers Javier Diaz of Dallas, Mike Diaz of Indiana. and Porfirio Diaz, Rodolfo Diaz, Raul Diaz and Jesse Diaz, all of Chicago; sisters Maria Cervantes of Mexico, and Dolores Razo and Juanita Cruz, both of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday during visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 1 St., Patterson. Tuesday s Mass will begin at 10 a.m. at the church, followed by burial at Patterson District Cemetery. Eaton Family Funeral & Cremation Service, Modesto, is in charge of arrangements.
