Lois Doherty Dies in San Pedro; Word has been received here of the death of Lois Knutson Doherty, an early resident of
Patterson who came here with her family in 1912. A graduate of Patterson High School, she graduated from the
California Lutheran Hospital nursing program in Los Angeles, and practiced nursing in that area until retiring. She died
in San Pedro May 22 at age 87. She had made her home in San Pedro for many years. Survivors include a son, David
Doherty of San Pedro; two sisters, Pearl Nicolds of Patterson and Alice Pearson of San Clemente; and one brother,
Clifford Knutson of Woodland. A funeral service was held May 26 at Green Hills Memorial Park in Palos Verdes.
