Dompe Frank 760304 np Frank Dompe Dies After Auto Crash; Prominent West Side businessman and rancher Frank Dompe of Crows Landing, 56, died Sunday night in a Modesto hospital following injuries suffered in an auto accident near Hilmar last Wednesday night. Mass of Christian burial will be said this morning (Thursday) at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be in Hills Ferry Cemetery. A native of Ojai, Dompe moved to Tracy with his family when still a child. He attended schools there, graduating from Tracy High School before moving to this area in 1940. Dompe was the president of the Stanislaus County Fair board and a director of the Center State Bank in Ripon and Memorial Hospitals, Modesto. He was a member of the Crows Landing Lions club, the Modesto Elks Lodge and the California Apricot Advisory Board. Dompe also was a former trustee of the old Bonita Elementary School District. He was a partner in the family-owned Dompe Warehouse Co. In Crows Landing. He is survived by his wife Anna Lee of Crows Landing; two eons, Frank Jr. of Newman and Peter of Crows Landing; two sisters, Kay Bracken of Crows Landing and Marie Broggi of Patterson; three brothers, Pete D. Of Crows Landing, Daniel of Modesto and Americo of Patterson, and two grandchildren.
