Duchenes Die in Accident Near Newman;  A requiem mass was celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church July 26 for
Fermin Duchene, 26, a Newman farm worker, and his daughter, JoAnn, 2, who were killed in a two-car collision July 21
near Newman.  Burial was in Hills Ferry Cemetery, Newman. Injured in the accident were his widow Evelyn, 25, and
another daughter, Michelle, 1. Duchene also leaves his mother Mrs. Carmen Duchene of Coachella; five sisters, Carmen
Gonzales and Julienne Garcia of Indio; Suzanne Guevara of Gilroy and Rosalind and Yvonne Duchene of Coachella, and
two brothers, Gerald and Keith Duchene of Coachella.
