Clara Dunkleberger Rites Are Held; A funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Hillview Funeral Chapel for long
time area resident Clara Hazel Dunkleberger. She died last Thursday at Del Puerto Hospital following a long illness. She
was 68. A native of Maud, Oklahoma, she had lived in this area for 46 years, and was an employee at Patterson frozen
foods for 15 years. She was a member of the Newman 50-Plus Club. Burial was Monday morning in Patterson District
Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Dora Mabry Draper of Modesto and Lillian Mabry Diensiel of Portland,
Ore.; a stepson, Edward Dunkleberger of LaMirada; three sisters, LeDonna Crouch of Sebastopol, Pauline Mabry of
Oregon, and Cathern Jesse of Modesto; three brothers, Jesse Nixon of New Mexico, Wilford Nixon of Louisianna; and
Charles Nixon of Colorado; 12 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. The family requests that remembrances be
sent to the American Cancer Society. P.O. Box 423, Patterson.
