Ivan A. Eighmy   July 1, 1927 � Dec. 21, 2005
No services are planned for Ivan A. Eighmy, 78, of Atwater, who died Wednesday in Merced. Mr. Eighmy was a native
of Louisville, Wis. He worked as a banker 45 years. Mr. Eighmy graduated from Modesto High School and Modesto
Junior College. He also served in the U.S. Navy after high school. An avid sports fan, Mr. Eighmy loved to play golf and
was a past member of Turlock Golf & Country Club. He had also been a member of the Patterson Lions Club and the
Merced Elks Club.  Mr. Eighmy is survived by his loving wife, Jeanie Eighmy of Atwater; a daughter, Patricia Saunders
of San Diego; a brother, Norman Eighmy of Modesto; two step-children, Jody Sparks of Oakdale and Steve Verschelden
of Denair; and four step-grandchildren. At Mr. Eighmy's request, there will be no services. Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home
of Merced is handling arrangements.
